ARTIST

Through representation or expression, I try to capture the ephemeral qualities of a sense of self, exploring its fragility through sculpture, painting and lens based media, sometimes with performance. My work often explores memory and the power of the unconscious and how it can work to distort difficult emotions until expression is allowed. I create work that invites the audience in and plays on their expectations.

My methodology involves taking everyday objects and experiences and dissecting them to identify patterns and functions to expose hidden layers and depths. Within this process I look for parallels with the self and how we give meaning to our everyday experience.
